Helping car accident victims rebuild their lives

It's something that most Rhode Island residents likely don't spend much time thinking about—what would happen if I was involved in a traffic accident. Yet every time you get behind the wheel of your car or ride in the passenger seat of someone else’s car, you are at risk of causing or being involved in a serious motor vehicle accident.

The dangers associated with driving too fast

At some point or another, most drivers are guilty of breaking an important traffic law and driving over the posted speed limit. While speed limits in Rhode Island top out at 65 MPH on Interstates, many drivers routinely operate motor vehicles at speeds in excess of 70 MPH. It's important to note, however, that speed limits exist for a reason and drivers who fail to heed posted speed limits are at a greater risk of both causing and being involved in traffic accidents.

Far too many injuries and losses stem from drunk driving-related accidents

The vast majority of residents in Rhode Island must rely on a car or truck for transportation. For many, driving becomes second nature and most people likely don't think twice about getting in or behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. In truth, motor vehicles can be extremely dangerous and, in 2013 alone, 65 people in the state lost their lives in fatal accidents.

Why Using A Cellphone While Driving Is Never Safe

Most Rhode Island residents would likely agree that drinking alcohol inhibits an individual's ability to safely drive. However, despite the fact that research indicates that drivers who use a cellphone or mobile device are "even more impaired that someone with a blood alcohol level of .08," many likely wouldn't think twice about calling up a friend to chat while driving.
