Texting drivers can cause serious accidents

Cellphones have made communication much easier. We can call people when we need to. We can access the Internet from anywhere with an Internet-enabled phone. We can even send text messages that allow us to communicate without having to speak. While all of these benefits are wonderful, they can turn dangerous when they are used at inappropriate times. One of these times is while driving.

Drivers who text while driving are putting themselves and everyone else on the roadway in danger of having an accident. Looking at their cellphones while they are driving takes their attention off of their driving duties and places it on the cellphones. Even looking at a phone for a second can have detrimental effects.

If you were injured by a driver who was texting or using a cellphone, you have the right to seek compensation for the injuries you suffered in the accident. If you had to miss work because of the injuries, you can add that in your claim for compensation.

We know that you never expected that a texting driver would change the course of your life in a split second. You shouldn't be the one who has to handle all of the financial effects of the accident. Instead, we can help you to seek compensation that can be used to cover the costs associated with the accident.

From determining what parties might be responsible for paying you compensation to building the case that shows how the accident, your injuries and the damages you suffered all come together, we can work to get your case moving forward.
